UK based technical instructors Andy Hayhurst and Ian Price are running series of lectures, CCR try dives and workshops over the 30th & 31st October in Capernwray. Simon, Joe and I will be there with a bunch of X-Scooters (Cuda 550, Cuda 650, 16ah Sierra STBs, 16ah Sierra LB and 16ah CSI) doing scooter try dives and maintenance workshops. I'll also be giving a talk on scooter diving applications and procedures.

The workshops were all full but there has been a few people drop out as the date has drawn closer. Those interested should drop Andy a line at: andy@hayhurstshootingsupplies.com.

Is there a cost for attending the CCR try dives and scooter workshops?

The scooter stuff is free as far as I know but there is a small charge to cover gas and lime on the CCR side. Drop Andy a line for details.

That's not the general idea but if there's time on the day we'll do what we can to accommodate last minute participants. No guarantees though as these things never quite go to schedule...

I tried to get on a session on the Saturday but it was full. I'll have to stick my name down for the next one.

Going to be doing a session at Stoney this coming Wednesday if you can make it. There from 10:30 onwards. Let me know so I know how many scooters we'll need.

Oh and Vobster 5/6th of December for the DIRx weekend (if that's your bag).

And there is talk of 'Tech South' by the same team that did the Capernwray weekend. Not sure of the dates or how advanced the planning is on that one.

What are the dates for Tech South and is it still going to be at Vobster? Is there a list of activities etc? It all seems to have gone quiet.

AFAIK it got cancelled. No idea why as there seemed to be plenty of interest.

We are planning on doing some scooter workshops later in the year (probably Stoney) and Aqua Training are running technical rescue workshops (not sure of the dates). These were the things that there was the most demand for at TN.
